10:10 Left Mark's house.

11:20 Across Blue River Dam (the eastern dam, don't know its formal name). http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.1744249&lon=-122.2855568&z=17&l=0&m=h&v=2
11:22 First left on gravel road, Road 104.
11:30 Stopped at exposed "sandstone" (conglomerate) face above roadcut. Picked up "coal" chunks embedded in sand/gravel/silt matrix. Not coal, doesn't burn, but soft (~3 mhos ?) and friable like lignite. (photo 18 mm, Canon SLR, south across valley). http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.1673759&lon=-122.3061669&z=17&l=0&m=h&v=2
11:40 At junction of Unit 82 (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.1662523&lon=-122.3082697&z=17&l=0&m=h&v=2), walked Road 104 to right about 1000 ft. and Road 100->101 about 500 ft. (several photos into Unit 82)
12:00 Started continuous video, from North in an eastern arc to the South (approximate) boundaries (see map below. Doug on passenger side roof with feet in window, using a PVC monopod stabilizer. Mark drove about 6-8 mph.
12:20 Photo and video pans, from end of Road 100? at local peak to south (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.164005&lon=-122.309643&z=17&l=0&m=h&v=2), down to Road 100 through the trees, back to car.
Back to intersection of Hwy. 12, east a ~1/2 mile to an angle's access to McKenzie river (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.1677145&lon=-122.2788459&z=18&l=0&m=h&v=2). Lunch, watched a couple groups of rafters go on opposite side of island (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=44.1668949&lon=-122.2798544&z=18&l=0&m=h&v=2).
Stopped at Dutch Brothers for coffee shakes in Springfield, bamboozled by manic barrista into the large size for $.50 extra.
