Still tinkering with content. One thing that I would like to add to anon users front page is a ven diagram to make the synthesis that I'm trying to do a little more clear.

Just posted updated site front page with definitions. Still need to add some more content to that but I feel like I carved out the main idea behind the website.

need to add some notes about navigation and registering if people want to post content other than guestbook.

Still just working on tweaking content so that it sounds half way intelligible. One concern about what I'm doing here is that I will just come across as a 'crank' which is a eccentric mad scientist type that doesn't get along well with others and is a reclusive freak. While that describes me almost to a t I am at least am trying to oppose that direction and communicate what I want to do as clearly as I can. Unfortunatley, exactly what that is is not entirely clear to me at this time. But it is taking shape.

I remember a month ago when I had just signed up for the ISP and was still figuring out which software to use for the website. Learned quite a lot since then. I still think drupal was the right choice for the plan here. I have been quite impressed with the software's ability and the online community -any time that I had a question posting it in the drupal forum would results in some kind of resolution in a matter of hours.

since the site is starting to come together now I can think about the hard part, or maybe its the easy part. Adding the conent. I already have quite a bit of material that I would like to transfer from a mini-data base I have been working on using the wikipad notebook system (kind of a neat stand alone wiki for organizing thoughts or plans good but still kind of rough open source)

First plan is to work on just clarifying the mission and goals of what is intended with the site. I'll start with just writing front page material which describes the scope and general ideas. Its taken some time because Ive been kind of picky about how a phrase things and am not entirely happy with even the basic mission statement yet -idea is there just articulated inelegantly, currently:)

got a good number of the bugs out. may be able to start transfering content that I had organized in a standalone aplication called wikipad. Its a good ap for organizing raw content but still basic (text only).

Photo gallery is almost al together. Just have to upload rest of images.

Still have a few type setting things to fix such as the the color of some text or simbols are hard to see on black background.

I continue to slay the drupal dragon (drupal is the CMSs(content managment system) that I decided to build this web site with. Whilte is seems to be one of the most powerful and versitle programs out there, there is a moderate learning curve. But after a couple weeks of fiddling, its more or less going and I know how to do most of the basic stuff.

Still need to figure out how to accept comments in image galleries cause id be interested to hear what folks have to about the pics.

Current porject is just to tidy up and figure out some kind of workflow for adding new content like ideas for research projects and write ups. I'm hoping to also have a couple powerpoint-type presentations available in the next few months which will allow people to hopefully more easily assimilate what I'm shooting at trying to get acrosss with enzymind.com.

OK! finally figured out how to configure users. Stupid things was just one little bitty check box i overlooked.

Now the next hurdle is some formating things. Since I opted for a black them its hard to see some of the default fonts but even with the excel theme editor I have not been able to change all the font categories. I'm sure there is a way just need to spend some time.

Uploaded first real pics to the library.

Have to tune the gallery area so that it looks a little cleaner.

And need to configure the home page as an about and info page.
