OK posted a series of stereos here
some lessons learned is that its probably best to stay with a fixed baseline when doing an image series otherwise the transitions are too rough. b.) i hate gif's; i used fireworks to assemble the pairs but the only option i could find for export was gif; causes all kinds of little headaches with gallery2 and they look like hell or at least galley2 renders them poorly. Just gonna stick with good ole jpg.

read an interesting article on the language and nature of indexing images .
Not sure why indexing seems so relevant for this project other than its the closest analogy i can think of to how the mind works -symbolic (semi-picture) information gets 'indexed' by all different kinds of tags in our brains and its the ability to use these common but unexpexted 'seach queries' which results in novel combinations -or creative solutions...what literature describes this -and please anything but psychology, I hate most am averse to modern psychology because it s mostly dumbass phoney boring bullshit largely consists of a certain... vagueness... which I find unsatisfying.
this is kind of interesting macro work
they used a canon 1ds mkii 16.7 megapixel camera with the 65mm mpe 5x macro lens. they posted the full size image 4992x3328. sharpness i think will be a real issue with hyper macro all these are pretty soft -i think the mpe has a fixed apature too. wonder if increased vibrational isolation would improve results

thanks for the feedback on the abstract. I kind of like where its going a little more by focusing on the general creativity thing which might ba a good hook in combination with the photography to bring some unconventional thinkers to complexity research. (might be more fun too)
Phew. That was hard to get a basic simple abstract for what I had in mind that was tight, and concise and interesting. Take a looksee please let me know if it sounds like crazy-man jibber.
ABSTRACT
"Generalization, transfer, and learning of abstract
concepts and relationships are of high interest to
the program...Learning and technology goals are
expected to drive an integrative research strategy
that builds on appropriate expertise in computer
science and learning research, and facilitates
close interactions among theoretical, experimental,
and design aspects of a project."
