A nice video description of the the LISA gravitational wave observatory.

I think Albert would have liked this experiment. Some amazing technology involved with the micro alignment of three separate space craft and multi-dimensional interferometry.

Asus finally released their low cost all solid state ultraportable eee laptop pc. Might be worth ~$300 as internet pc. Someone has already figured out how to hack in a touchscreen.

An all internet pc would probably motivate me to expand enzymind functionality with more sophisticated file storage tools.

Testing Enzymind functionality with Safari mobile on an iTouch (new toy). Safari mobile can't display Flash files, but most other things work. I could create this blog entry, and use the widgets. But I couldn't input text into the body -- apparently it doesn't recognize the body widget as a text input box so the keyboard doesn't pop up.

Today I am doing some music recording. I set up my laptop as a  DAW with a handy little usb audio interface. You really need something like this in order to do multitrack recording otherwise the computers hardware time lag latency, although only a few tens of milliseconds, makes syncing previously recorded audio with new live tracks too disorienting.

Ansel star

This past spring Ansel Dow made a nice shape with wood scraps, in shop class after he had finished his main project. I modeled it in Space Software, which only took about 10 minutes -- most of which was starting over because of minor bugs in my software. Here's an animated rotation of the shape, six rectilinear "L's" attached to a central cube:
